A SINGLE of BIBERTY, as he lets the HOMEOWNER know why he’s here.

The HOMEOWNER, responding.

BIBERTY, continuing, until…

…a BIRD OF PREY SWOOPS IN and makes off with him…

…to the SHOCK of the HOMEOWNER.

CUT…

…to BIBERTY FALLING into frame…

…and landing with a THUD on another car, in another driveway, shocking a NEIGHBOR who’s in the middle of washing his car…

…and without missing a beat, going into who he is and what he’s here for.

Now, what’s this? This…is the frame that begins the Alt. version of the opening. The one where we CUT to…

…the NEIGHBOR telling us BIBERTY’S name.

NEIGHBOR: “Hey, Biberty.”

And this? This…is for the Alt. ending.

The moment after the BIRD OF PREY snatches BIBERTY, we’d CUT to the NEIGHBOR, who says, “Ah, that’s too bad…nice guy.” And then CUT…to the HOMEOWNER pulling up to this STOP SIGN. When he does…

…BIBERTY would ROLL down the sidewalk, into frame…

…and then we’d CUT…

…to INSIDE the HOMEOWNER’S car, to see BIBERTY out the car window.
